Move-a-thon Details

The Move-A-Thon is Sankofa United's first in person community building event of the 21-22 school year. Please join us on Oct. 16th at 10am to move your body, have some fun and get to know your community. Students will be given an activity passport to stamp at each activity station. Once participants complete 4 activities, they receive a special Sankofa water bottle and goodie bag! Siblings welcome to join. Family and friends can cheer on kids and enjoy music, food and fun!

Each participant will receive a Sankofa water bottle and healthy treat bag. Siblings are welcome to join in. Water will be available to fill your own bottles at the outside fountains. The school building will be open for bathroom access only.

We Need Volunteers!

It’s going to take a lot of volunteers to keep kids safe on their walk around the block and at the activity stations. To volunteer please email Ellie Wohlfeiler at

We Need Bake Sale Donations!

Bring something to be sold at the bake sale. Individually portioned items please, due to covid. Donations will be taken day of starting at 9:30am.

This event is a PTA fundraiser!

All donations are welcome, but certainly not required to participate. Our PTA aims to raise $40,000 this fall to cover the cost of our fantastic new art program. Every dollar helps! There are lots of ways for you and your family/friends/neighbors to pledge:, cash/check at the event, or you can even donate at the main office or by mail.
